Welcome to the unlearning era
on choosing to embrace new truths
Hi, I’m Mykala a strategist and freelance writer based in Brooklyn, and I want to thank you so much for joining me here in my little corner of the internet.
After a series of burnouts left me depressed, anxious, and isolated in my “dream” city and career, I felt lost and disconnected from who I was. I turned to writing as a form of release and slowly began rebuilding my relationship with myself by establishing new meaning to the world around me. From navigating insecurities to exploring new worldviews I had to let go of what I thought I knew and give myself permission to embrace a new truth about myself. To relearn and honor every step, misstep, and revelation along the way, acknowledging that the journey isn’t perfect, but each lesson is bringing me closer to who I’m called to be.
